Djokovic Trainer

Djokovic Appoints New Coaching Team for 2023 Season

Novak Djokovic Welcomes Boris Becker as Head Coach

Tennis icon Novak Djokovic has made a significant change to his coaching staff ahead of the 2023 season. The 21-time Grand Slam champion has appointed legendary tennis player Boris Becker as his new Head Coach. Becker, who has coached Djokovic in the past, will replace Marian Vajda, who has been part of Djokovic's team for almost his entire professional career.

Ivanišević and Other New Additions

In addition to Becker, Djokovic has also added Goran Ivanišević to his coaching team. Ivanišević, the 2001 Wimbledon champion, will join Becker as a member of Djokovic's coaching staff. Djokovic has also recruited fitness trainer Marco Panichi and hitting partner Carlos Gómez-Herrera, a retired tennis player, to his team.

Vajda Departs After Successful Partnership

The departure of Marian Vajda marks the end of a highly successful partnership between the coach and player. Under Vajda's guidance, Djokovic won 85 of his 96 career titles, including 21 Grand Slams. Vajda's departure was announced in March 2022, and he will no longer be part of Djokovic's coaching team.
